    "description_en": "Built on land donated by Li Chunsheng, an important figure in Taiwan's modern history, who also funded its construction, the church stands in the old town of Dadaocheng. Li Chunsheng is said to have based the main building on churches built by Western missionaries around Xiamen in Fujian to spread the faith. The main structure is reinforced brick, built with good-quality exposed red brick from the early Taisho era, and the facade has decorative details combining Chinese and Western features. Because society was conservative at the time, men and women sat separately in the sanctuary and entered by the left and right doors respectively. These features record the development of Christianity in Taipei from the late 19th to the early 20th century. Although the building follows Western church designs, its washed-stone facade decoration shows traditional Taiwanese motifs, blending Chinese and Western styles with a character of its own, which is rare in Taiwan's modern architecture. It was listed as Taipei's 100th historic site. The church also houses a musical chime of 25 bells of different sizes, which plays seven different chimes in rotation.",
    "description_ko": "대만 근대사의 중요 인물인 리춘성이 땅을 기증하고 건축비를 대 지은 교회로, 다다오청 옛 시가지에 있어요. 리춘성은 푸젠성 샤먼 일대에서 서양 선교사들이 선교를 위해 지은 교회를 참고해 본당을 지었다고 전해져요. 주 구조는 보강 벽돌조로, 다이쇼 초기의 질 좋은 붉은 벽돌을 그대로 드러내 쌓았고, 정면에는 중국과 서양의 특징을 합친 장식이 있어요. 당시에는 풍습이 보수적이어서 예배당에서 남녀가 따로 앉았고, 각각 왼쪽과 오른쪽 문으로 드나들었어요. 이런 특징들은 19세기 말부터 20세기 초까지 타이베이 지역 기독교의 발전 과정을 보여 줘요. 건물은 서양 교회 도면을 본떠 지었지만, 인조석 씻어내기로 마감한 정면 장식에는 대만 전통 문양이 나타나 중국과 서양 양식이 어우러진 독자적인 특색을 지녔어요. 대만 근대 건축에서는 드문 사례예요. 타이베이시의 100번째 고적으로 지정됐어요. 교회 안에는 크고 작은 종 25개로 된 음악 종이 있어, 일곱 가지 종소리를 번갈아 울려요.",
