The old Shuangxi riverbed in the park keeps its protected banks and serves as the forebay of the pumping station, providing detention space in floods, and at other times it is a community wetland park. On the east side of the channel, a shallow marsh zone has been left undisturbed as a habitat where land birds can feed and breed. From the park you can see the marsh wildlife of the channel and, further off, the outline of Qixingshan and the Datun Mountains.
