Longchuanyan Trail

The Longchuanyan Trail starts at No. 62 Bishan Road, Neihu District, and follows a flagstone path only 600 metres long, a good route for observing nature. Longchuanyan lies below the ridgeline of Kaiyanshan. It is an exposed white quartz rock at 300 metres, and because it looks like a dragon boat, locals call it the 'stone boat' or 'dragon boat rock'. As the rock is on the ridgeline, one side is a 90-degree cliff and the other a 45-degree drop, so take care. The nearby Kaiyanshan, Bishan, Baishihushan and Wuzhishan are all hills in Neihu District, part of the Wuzhi Mountains. The path is paved with flagstones and lined with ferns and wild plants, and it leads straight to the top. From the top of the rock you can see Shikanshan and Kaiyanshan. The surrounding area is farmland with a rural feel.
