The Yangmingshan US military club stands among the US military housing beside 文化大學. In the 1950s and 1960s it was an important social venue for the community of US forces stationed in Taiwan and their families.

The site was originally that of the old Yangmingshan club (陽明山聯誼社). Through the 'Old House Culture Movement' promoted by Taipei City's 文化局 (cultural affairs bureau), which matched the building with an operator, the company 鈺德科技 took on the rebuilding of the club and turned it into an arts space combining creative exhibitions and performances with a restaurant.
