Yangmingshan Night Views

Yangmingshan's night views are well known in Taipei. Going up Yangde Boulevard, you can see Taipei's starry night sky and city lights all along the way. Other good spots for night views include Baiyun Villa, the Zhuzihu viewing platform, in front of Yonggong Road, Lin Yutang's Former Residence, and the roads past Yangmingshan Park towards Dinghu or Beitou. Erziping Recreation Area and Qingtiangang have wide, open views and are good for watching the stars and the moon. The most typical spot is the hill behind the university 文化大學, which is close to the Taipei Basin and steep enough that you look straight down on the city lights.
