About
Fumin Ecological Park is one of the few parks in Taipei based mainly on aquatic ecology. After about five years of work it was completed at the end of 2002.

It lies beside Lane 177, Section 5, Minsheng East Road, Songshan District, between Sanmin Road and Xindong Street, and covers about 8,413 square metres. Its main feature is an ecological waterway nearly 100 metres long, like a small version of a northern Taiwan stream. Downstream of the stream area is a pond area with water plants such as 滿江紅, water lilies, cattails and 臺灣萍蓬草. The floodplain area at the far end also has many water plants, such as 三白草 and 卵葉水丁香. In the park you can see birds, amphibians and insects, hear frogs, birdsong and running water, and smell 野薑花 and osmanthus.
