This is the main ancestral hall of the Chen clan in the Taipei area, designed and built by the noted Taiwanese master craftsman Chen Yingbin. The front hall's double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, timber structure and dougong brackets are finely made, and its eaves and ridges have flowing curves, giving it high artistic value.

The carved stone twin-dragon columns of the front hall are considered one of the earlier examples in modern Taiwan of 'two dragons on one column', and had a lasting influence on later temple building. The shrine in the main hall is very large and richly carved in wood, notable for its finely carved balustrade. The tin ritual vessels and immortal-figure candlesticks in front of the shrine are fully preserved and finely made, a rare example in Taiwan. In 2014 the hall received the Preservation Contribution Award at the Ministry of Culture's 3rd National Cultural Heritage Preservation Awards.
