Ningxia Road Night Market

The market covers the stretch of road between Minsheng West Road, Nanjing West Road and Chongqing North Road. It focuses on traditional Taiwanese snacks, including old-fashioned flavours from the roundabout area of Datong District. The market separates pedestrians from traffic, making it easier to eat and shop. Many stalls and shops accept EasyCard and mobile payment. The 'Thousand-Year Banquet' has been held since 2010. It takes its name from the stalls' combined age: most had been trading for more than 50 years, adding up to over a thousand years. It is served as a banquet-style set meal of 20 local snacks. The market's food includes braised pork rice and chicken rice, oyster omelette, oyster and pork intestine vermicelli, stir-fried shacha beef, pork liver soup, Tainan-style bowl rice cake, tilapia soup and taro cakes with egg yolk. On the other side of the market, the stalls mainly sell novelty goods and toys.
