About

The park faces Qixing Mountain to the north and the Keelung River to the south, and runs from Nanhu Bridge in the east to Anmei Street in the west, covering about 10 hectares. It includes flat ground and a small hill about 40 metres high, which was kept when the site was cleared so that people can see for themselves how Taiwan's first rubbish mountain has been turned into a restoration park.

The park is divided into restored woodland, a recreation area and riverside flats. The recreation area has a sunny lawn, an activity plaza, a landscaped plaza, a 'vision' picture frame and a viewing platform. The lawn alone covers more than 10,000 square metres, about the size of one and a half football pitches. Trees and shrubs such as 山黃麻 and 水麻 attract flocks of birds to live here. An ecological trail leads to the viewing platform, which looks out to Taipei 101.
