Jimi-themed Nangang Station

There are six large colour murals in the station. They are illustrations from Jimi's book 地下鐵 ('Subway'), enlarged and fired onto enamel panels set into the walls; only one is a new work, bringing together characters from Jimi's earlier books. The largest, 141 metres long and 7 metres high, is on the platform wall. Before the train arrives, it shows the scene on board: an older man reading a newspaper, office workers commuting, and a bored child without a seat who imagines a witch flying past the window and a pig and rabbits racing the train across the fields.
