About

Taipei Memory Warehouse is a red-brick building from the Japanese colonial period. It stands beside the North Gate and Taipei Station, near the Tamsui River and Dadaocheng Wharf, reflecting the thriving trade of Taipei at the time and the shift of goods transport from water to land.

Its theme is forest resources and the trade in local products. Following the story of the river basin and the city's growth, it shows, through the changes along the upper, middle and lower reaches, how people on this land have used and created resources, and it offers a platform for dialogue between different viewpoints.
