About
Beside the Gongguan shopping area, the park combines a historic monument, industrial heritage, family play areas and environmental education. At its centre is the Waterworks Museum (自來水博物館), a national Grade 3 historic site.

Built in 1908, in the Japanese colonial period, as the pump room of the Taipei waterworks (a pumping station), it marks the beginning of Taiwan's modern water supply system, and the building is used for wedding and outdoor photo shoots. Inside, the high-ceilinged hall still holds the large diesel motors, pumps and switchboards that once ran it. In summer the park becomes a family play area: the water garden and water play zone have a large paddling pool, water slides, fountains and water cannons. Outside summer it is an open square for walking and resting. The park also has the Guanyinshan Ecological Trail, a green path that leads up to the historic Guanyinshan Reservoir. Besides recreation, the park teaches about water resources, using interactive displays and exhibitions to explain why conserving water matters.
