The Twelve Zodiac Animals Trail is beside the Zhinan Temple station of the Maokong gondola. It starts from Yingxian Pavilion below and climbs the hillside.

From the highest point you can see the Yuexia Laoren (the Old Man Under the Moon) of Zhinan Temple. It is the 'lovers' sanctuary' planned within the Zhinan scenic area, and is also called the Lovers' Trail.
