Xindian River Riverside Cycle Path

This cycle path runs from Dadaocheng Wharf along Yanping Riverside Park, and along the ride you can visit nearby historic sites. Nearby sights include Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, the Lin Liuxin Memorial Puppet Museum and, towards Jiuquan Street, the Taipei Confucius Temple and Bao'an Temple. Sights along the path include the Dadaocheng Wharf café plaza, a model of a Chinese sailing junk (唐山帆船), the wharf's arched bridge and views across the Tamsui River. The path also links with the Blue Highway boat routes, on which you can take your bike to Guandu Wharf, Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and the Bali Left Bank. After Huajiang Bridge the path follows the Xindian River, and several bridges across the Xindian River lead to the cycle paths along the Dahan River. With buildings all around, the riverside parks along the Xindian and Dahan rivers stand out as green space within the city. This long chain of riverside parks passes Yingge, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhonghe, Yonghe and Xindian. From October to March, migratory ducks and geese and protected migratory birds can be seen.
