There are also many department stores and entertainment venues, such as Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place, Vieshow Cinemas Xinyi, ATT 4 FUN, Bellavita, Neo19, the Tongyi Shidai department store and the Eslite Xinyi flagship store, and hotels including the Grand Hyatt, the W Hotel and Le Méridien. It has become one of Taipei's main commercial districts. With its many financial businesses and corporate headquarters, it is nicknamed 'Taipei's Manhattan'. At weekends and on holidays, the City Hall plaza and the new stage on the east plaza of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi often host events and fairs. The Vieshow courtyard is often used for singers' album launches, performances and signings, and is a favoured venue for film promotions. Each Christmas season the street trees are decorated with lights and the department stores put up Christmas trees and photo installations, turning the district into a Christmas town throughout December. On New Year's Eve there is the Taipei 101 fireworks show.
