It has since been transformed into a meeting place for creative industries and fashion, mixing tradition and innovation. On 1F is a fresh food market selling fruit and vegetables, meat and a wide range of local ingredients. There are also food stalls selling Taiwanese dishes, including savoury sticky rice, handmade buns and freshly cut sashimi. On 2F and 3F, shops sell cotton, silk, linen and many other fabrics for dressmaking, home furnishing and crafts. Besides fabric, specialist shops sell sewing tools, lace and zips and offer made-to-order services. On 4F is a fashion lab showing work by emerging designers, where visitors can see designers' clothing and take part in workshops and events. On 8F and 9F is the Dadaocheng Theatre, which displays traditional opera stage props, glove puppets and shadow puppets. It also has a small theatre that holds regular plays, concerts and cultural talks.
