About
The night market is in Zhongshan District near MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station and is a small local night market about 200 metres long. In earlier years, temple fairs and crowds in the area drew stalls, and it gradually became a street known for food; most of its shops have been there for decades.

It is known for traditional Taiwanese snacks and late-night seafood stir-fries, and is where office workers and food lovers nearby go to eat after work. Many of the shops have seen Taipei's streets change over the years. Many kinds of food are concentrated on one short street, so you can eat as you walk. Stalls along the street mainly sell hot Taiwanese food, including oyster omelettes, danzai noodles, braised snacks (lu wei), blanched squid, sesame oil dishes, goose and seafood stir-fries. Seafood stir-fry restaurants are typical here; at many you choose the ingredients on the spot and have them cooked as you like, and they are a common choice for office workers eating together after work. In autumn and winter, sesame oil soups take centre stage. Nearby are the Nanjing Fuxing shopping area, the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, Liaoning Park and the Taipei Xiaojudan arena.
