About
The memorial stands in the north-west corner of Jieshou Park in Taipei, at the corner of Ketagalan Boulevard and Huaining Street, facing the plaza in front of the Presidential Office. It was designed by the architect Wang Lifu.

Work began on 16 October 2007 and was completed on schedule on 27 March 2008. President Chen Shui-bian, Vice President Annette Lu and Premier Chang Chun-hsiung were among those invited to the completion ceremony.
