ShuangCheng St. Night Market

Almost all the stalls here are long-established. The market is small, with uniform orange-red signs, and it became Taipei's first model district night market. There are quite a few pubs nearby, so some foreign visitors come here too. Food includes Chiayi chicken rice, boiled goose with goose broth, and braised pork rice. Huangji Braised Pork Rice and the Chiayi chicken rice both received honourable mentions in a Taipei City braised pork rice competition; the braised pork is stewed together with pork knuckle and trotters. Desserts include old-fashioned mitaimu (rice noodles) and aiyu jelly ice.
