R79 Zhongshan Underground Book Street

It gathers literature, humanities and social sciences, art and design, travel and children's picture books, together with selected stationery and occasional exhibitions, turning a commuter passage into a hub for the city's young culture lovers. 誠品 R79 links the whole passage through themed zones, like a row of small bookshops side by side, so visitors can move between sections according to their interests. Themed displays in the middle of the passage and on the walls change from time to time, from photography and poetry to independent publishing. Among them are stationery, vinyl records, visual works and snack stalls. The children's area has warm colours and a safe layout, and children can choose picture books for themselves. In the middle section there is an open reading area with exhibition walls on both sides, and you can sit down and read in any corner. A visit can be combined with the Zhongshan Linear Park and nearby cafes and shops for a half-day or full-day walk. People walking from Taipei Main Station to the Zhongshan and Shuanglian area can also use the book street as a comfortable route unaffected by the weather.
